Refund Policy

This Refund Policy governs all refunds, reversals, cancellations, billing disputes, and financial obligations relating to subscriptions and paid services offered on Furguard. By subscribing to any Furguard plan, completing any recharge, or authorizing any payment mandate, the User expressly acknowledges, understands, and agrees to be legally bound by this Refund Policy in its entirety.

1. Nature of Subscription and Free Trial Conversion

  • 1.1 Upon completion of the first recharge or subscription activation on Furguard, the User shall receive a limited free trial period of one (1) day only.
  • 1.2 Immediately upon completion of this one-day free trial period, the applicable subscription fee shall be automatically deducted on the very next day without any further reminder, confirmation, or manual approval from the User.
  • 1.3 Following the first post-trial deduction, the subscription shall continue on an automatic recurring weekly billing cycle, and the applicable fee shall be deducted every seven (7) days thereafter from the User's registered payment method.
  • 1.4 By initiating the first recharge, the User provides an irrevocable authorization and standing instruction permitting Furguard and its payment partners to automatically debit the registered payment instrument on a weekly recurring basis until cancellation by the User.
  • 1.5 The User expressly agrees that it is their sole responsibility to read and understand the billing model before subscribing and to monitor recurring deductions thereafter.

2. Mandatory Three-Month Waiting Period

  • 2.1 All Furguard plans are subject to a mandatory waiting period of three (3) months from the date of subscription activation.
  • 2.2 During this waiting period, certain or all pet wellness and/or insurance-related benefits, including claims eligibility, may be restricted, limited, or unavailable as per the applicable plan structure.
  • 2.3 Subscription fees shall continue to be charged on a weekly recurring basis during the waiting period irrespective of claim eligibility status.
  • 2.4 No refund shall be issued on the ground that benefits were not immediately available due to the mandatory three (3) month waiting period.
  • 2.5 In the event of cancellation and later reactivation, the three (3) month waiting period shall recommence in full from the new activation date.

3. Strict User Acknowledgement of Recurring Auto-Payment

  • 3.1 By subscribing to any Furguard plan, the User expressly and irrevocably authorizes automatic recurring weekly deductions from the registered payment method.
  • 3.2 The User acknowledges that: a one-day free trial begins after the first recharge; the first paid deduction occurs automatically on the next day; subsequent deductions occur automatically every seven (7) days thereafter.
  • 3.3 The User further acknowledges that explicit reminders, alerts, or confirmations prior to each recurring deduction are not required and may not always be provided.
  • 3.4 Any later claim by the User stating that they were unaware of the automatic weekly billing structure, free trial conversion, or recurring payment mandate shall not create any liability on Furguard and shall not be considered a valid ground for refund, reversal, or dispute of charges.
  • 3.5 The User agrees that ignorance, misunderstanding, oversight, or failure to read the billing terms shall not absolve them of payment obligations or entitle them to any refund.

4. General Non-Refundability of Payments

  • 4.1 All payments made towards Furguard subscriptions are strictly non-refundable under all circumstances, except in narrowly defined technical error scenarios described in this Policy.
  • 4.2 Payments are charged in consideration of continuous platform access, facilitation infrastructure, partner integrations, eligibility maintenance, and digital service availability, and are not dependent on actual usage frequency or claim occurrence.
  • 4.3 Accordingly, no refunds shall be granted for: non-usage or partial usage of services; dissatisfaction with plan features or outcomes; claim rejections or coverage limitations; waiting period applicability; change of mind after subscription; failure to understand recurring billing terms; voluntary cancellation of subscription at any time.

5. Cancellation and Its Financial Consequences

  • 5.1 Users may cancel recurring billing by disabling the auto-debit mandate via their UPI application, payment provider, or Furguard account settings, where available.
  • 5.2 Cancellation shall operate prospectively only and shall prevent future weekly billing after the effective cancellation date.
  • 5.3 Cancellation shall not reverse or refund any charges already deducted for the current or previous billing cycles.
  • 5.4 Upon cancellation or termination, access to certain digital features such as AI Companion may continue at Furguard's discretion; however, all pet wellness and insurance-related benefits shall cease immediately.

6. Limited Technical Exception for Refunds

  • 6.1 Notwithstanding the strict non-refundable nature of subscriptions, refunds may be considered only in the rare event of a verifiable technical error where Furguard has charged an amount greater than the pricing explicitly stated in the subscription plan.
  • 6.2 Such technical errors may include: duplicate charge for the same billing cycle; incorrect amount deducted exceeding the listed weekly price tier; system malfunction resulting in unintended multiple deductions.
  • 6.3 In such cases, refund eligibility shall be limited strictly to the excess amount wrongfully charged and not the entire subscription fee.
  • 6.4 Requests for such technical refunds must be submitted within seven (7) days of the transaction along with valid transaction proof and details.
  • 6.5 Furguard reserves sole discretion to verify and determine whether a deduction constitutes a genuine technical error.

7. Absolute Restriction on Refund and Chargeback Requests

  • 7.1 Except in the limited technical error scenario described above, no refund requests shall be entertained under any circumstances.
  • 7.2 The User expressly agrees that no chargeback request, payment dispute, or reversal claim shall be raised before banks, NPCI, payment gateways, or consumer forums solely on the grounds that: the User did not like the plan; the User did not use the service; the User did not understand the weekly billing model; the User was unaware of automatic deductions; the User expected immediate claim benefits despite waiting period.
  • 7.3 Such reasons shall not constitute valid grounds for refund or dispute and shall be deemed a breach of this Refund Policy.

8. Liability for Unjustified Chargebacks or Legal Complaints

  • 8.1 In the event that a User initiates a chargeback through NPCI, bank, payment gateway, or files a complaint before any consumer forum or court solely on the grounds that recurring subscription charges were deducted as per the agreed plan, such action shall be treated as a wrongful and unjustified dispute.
  • 8.2 The User expressly acknowledges and agrees that if such chargeback or legal complaint is raised without any proven technical overcharge beyond the stated pricing, the User shall be liable to pay a penalty amount of ₹30,000 to Furguard towards administrative, legal, and dispute handling costs.
  • 8.3 The User further expressly grants Furguard the right to initiate legal proceedings to recover such penalty amount and any additional damages, costs, or expenses incurred in defending such unjustified claims.
  • 8.4 This penalty clause shall apply only in cases where the User disputes valid recurring subscription deductions made in accordance with the disclosed pricing, billing structure, free trial conversion, and waiting period terms.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Refund Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising in connection with this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts situated in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

10. Final Binding Acknowledgement

By completing any payment or activating a Furguard subscription, the User confirms and legally acknowledges that:

  • A one-day free trial shall begin after first recharge.
  • Automatic deduction shall occur the very next day after trial completion.
  • Weekly recurring charges shall continue every seven (7) days thereafter.
  • A mandatory three (3) month waiting period applies.
  • Lack of awareness of auto-payment or billing model shall not be Furguard's responsibility.
  • No refunds shall be granted except in cases of proven technical overcharge.
  • Unjustified chargebacks or complaints may result in liability including a penalty of ₹30,000 and legal recovery action.

The User affirms that they have read, understood, and voluntarily agreed to this Refund Policy and the recurring billing model in full.
