Pet Wellness & Insurance Subscription – Effective Date: 4th May 2025
1. Definitions
- •1.1 “Company” refers to the service provider offering pet wellness memberships and/or facilitating pet insurance benefits under its brand.
- •1.2 “User” or “Policyholder” means the individual who purchases or subscribes to the plan.
- •1.3 “Insured Pet” refers solely to the pet registered under the subscription at the time of enrollment.
- •1.4 “Plan” refers to the selected subscription, wellness program, insurance-facilitated coverage, or bundled services.
- •1.5 “Policy Period” means the duration for which the subscription remains active subject to successful payments.
- •1.6 “Veterinarian” means a licensed and registered veterinary medical practitioner.
- •1.7 “Network Clinic” means veterinary clinics or hospitals empanelled with the Company for cashless or partner services.
- •1.8 “Pre-existing Condition” refers to any illness, injury, symptom, or medical condition observed or diagnosed before activation.
- •1.9 “Waiting Period” means the specified period during which certain benefits or claims shall not be available.
- •1.10 “Claim” means a request for reimbursement, service approval, or benefit utilization under the active subscription.
2. Eligibility & Enrollment
- •Subscriptions are available only for domesticated pets such as dogs and cats unless otherwise specified.
- •The pet must satisfy age, breed, and health eligibility criteria as determined by the Company or underwriting partner.
- •Accurate disclosure of the pet's age, breed, medical history, and vaccination status is mandatory at enrollment.
- •Enrollment is considered complete only after successful payment and subscription activation.
- •The Company reserves the right to request veterinary records, vaccination proof, or pet identification details.
- •Any incorrect, incomplete, or misleading information may result in rejection, suspension, or termination.
- •Coverage applies strictly and exclusively to the single registered insured pet.
- •The subscriber must be legally competent and at least 18 years of age.
- •The Company may refuse or cancel enrollment at its sole discretion based on risk evaluation.
- •The Company may require periodic updates regarding pet health records during the subscription term.
3. Scope of Coverage & Inclusions
- •Coverage includes eligible veterinary medical expenses arising due to accidental injuries during the active subscription period.
- •Coverage includes treatment costs for illnesses diagnosed after completion of applicable waiting periods.
- •Eligible expenses may include consultations, diagnostics, surgeries, hospitalization, and prescribed medications.
- •Emergency medical treatments at licensed veterinary facilities may be covered subject to plan limits.
- •Day-care procedures not requiring overnight hospitalization may be eligible if medically necessary.
- •Diagnostic tests such as blood tests, scans, and X-rays may be covered when prescribed by a veterinarian.
- •Surgical procedures arising from covered illnesses or accidents may be included within plan sub-limits.
- •Pre-hospitalization and post-hospitalization expenses may be covered for limited defined durations.
- •Wellness add-ons may include vaccinations, deworming, routine health check-ups, and preventive consultations.
- •Teleconsultation services, if provided, are for informational guidance only and not emergency care.
- •Cashless services may be available exclusively at designated network clinics subject to approval.
- •Reimbursement claims for non-network clinics may be permitted subject to documentation and approval.
- •Coverage shall at all times remain subject to plan sub-limits, exclusions, and maximum benefit caps.
- •Accidental injury coverage may commence from Day 1 unless otherwise specified.
- •Illness coverage shall begin only after successful completion of applicable waiting periods.
- •Chronic conditions diagnosed after activation may be covered subject to continuous subscription compliance.
- •All treatments must be medically necessary, reasonable, and supported by veterinary prescriptions.
- •Preventive and wellness benefits are limited to annual caps defined in the plan schedule.
- •Benefits are non-transferable and applicable only to the registered pet.
- •The Company does not guarantee approval of any specific treatment unless medically admissible.
4. Waiting Periods
- •A mandatory waiting period applies to illness-related benefits from the activation date.
- •Specific diseases or conditions may have extended waiting periods as defined in the plan.
- •Pre-existing conditions shall remain excluded during and after the waiting period unless expressly stated.
- •Waiting periods shall recommence if the subscription lapses or is reactivated after termination.
- •Accidental injury claims may be exempt from waiting periods unless specified otherwise.
- •The Company reserves the right to apply disease-specific or breed-specific waiting durations.
5. Exclusions (Non-Covered Items)
- •Pre-existing diseases, injuries, or symptoms observed before activation are excluded.
- •Cosmetic, grooming, aesthetic, or non-medical procedures are excluded.
- •Breeding, pregnancy, whelping, infertility treatments, and reproductive procedures are excluded.
- •Behavioral therapy, obedience training, and non-medical correction programs are excluded.
- •Injuries arising from intentional harm, abuse, neglect, or illegal activities are excluded.
- •Claims arising during participation in racing, hunting, guarding, or commercial activities are excluded.
- •Routine supplements, vitamins, and nutraceuticals not prescribed for a covered illness are excluded.
- •Dental and oral procedures are excluded unless resulting from accidental injury.
- •Experimental, alternative, or unproven treatments lacking clinical validation are excluded.
- •Non-medical costs including transportation, lodging, boarding, or administrative charges are excluded.
- •Treatments by unlicensed veterinarians or unregistered clinics are not covered.
- •Elective or convenience-based medical procedures are excluded.
- •Claims arising outside permitted geographical limits are excluded unless specified.
- •Losses due to war, natural disasters, nuclear events, or force majeure are excluded.
- •Claims exceeding sum insured or defined sub-limits will not be reimbursed.
- •Any claim unsupported by valid invoices, prescriptions, or medical reports shall be rejected.
- •Injuries resulting from violation of animal welfare laws or local regulations are excluded.
- •Preventive treatments are excluded unless included as part of wellness add-ons.
- •Claims for non-medically necessary hospitalization shall not be payable.
- •Any condition explicitly listed as excluded in the plan schedule shall remain excluded.
6. Claim Process
- •Claims must be notified within the specified timeline from the date of treatment.
- •Cashless claims require prior authorization from the Company or partner network provider.
- •Reimbursement claims must include valid invoices, prescriptions, discharge summaries, and reports.
- •The Company may request additional documentation for verification purposes.
- •Claim approval is subject to policy terms, medical necessity, and eligibility criteria.
- •Incomplete submissions may delay or lead to rejection of claims.
- •Processing timelines may vary depending on document completeness and verification checks.
- •The Company reserves the right to reject inadmissible or fraudulent claims.
- •Settlement amounts shall be limited strictly to admissible expenses and plan limits.
- •Final claim decisions shall be binding as per applicable policy guidelines.
8. Pricing, Billing, Refunds & Termination
- •Pet Insurance / Wellness subscriptions are billed weekly at ₹760, ₹680, ₹466, or ₹380, as selected by the user.
- •Continuous and successful weekly payment is a strict condition precedent for the existence of any Pet Wellness or Insurance Benefits.
- •All plans are subject to a mandatory waiting period of three (3) months from activation.
- •Upon activation, the applicable weekly fee shall be charged twice upfront, followed by a charge on the subsequent day and thereafter every seven (7) days.
- •The user authorizes automatic recurring weekly charges without further notice.
- •Any failure, delay, or non-receipt of payment, including auto-debit failure for any reason whatsoever, shall result in immediate automatic termination of the subscription.
- •Upon termination, all Pet Wellness and Insurance Benefits shall cease instantly without notice.
- •If a user cancels the subscription at any time, including mid-cycle, no refunds (full or partial) shall be provided.
- •All fees paid are strictly non-refundable under all circumstances, including non-usage or claim ineligibility.
- •Upon reactivation after cancellation or termination, the mandatory three (3) month waiting period shall recommence in full.
- •After cancellation, access to AI Companion or non-insurance features may continue; however, no wellness or insurance benefits shall apply.
- •The Company reserves the right to revise pricing, billing cycles, or plan structures with prior notice.
- •Continued use after pricing modification constitutes acceptance of revised charges.
9. Fraud, Misrepresentation & Abuse
- •Submission of false, forged, or manipulated medical records shall constitute fraud.
- •Fraudulent claims may lead to immediate termination and permanent blacklisting.
- •The Company reserves the right to initiate legal proceedings for fraudulent activities.
- •Repeated suspicious claim behavior may trigger investigation or benefit suspension.
- •The Company may share fraud-related information with partner insurers or authorities.
10. Limitation of Liability
- •The Company acts as a facilitator and shall not be liable for medical outcomes or treatment quality.
- •Liability shall be limited strictly to the subscription benefits and defined plan limits.
- •The Company is not responsible for delays caused by external clinics, insurers, or third-party providers.
- •No liability shall arise for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.
- •Users agree that veterinary decisions remain solely the responsibility of treating veterinarians.
11. Data Protection & Privacy
- •Users consent to collection and sharing of pet medical and personal data for service delivery.
- •Data may be shared with insurers, TPAs, veterinary partners, and regulatory authorities if required.
- •The Company shall handle data in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
- •Anonymized usage data may be used for analytics and product improvement.
- •Users consent to receiving communications via email, SMS, WhatsApp, or app notifications.
12. Modifications to Terms
- •The Company reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time.
- •Updates shall be communicated via website publication or user notification channels.
- •Continued usage after modification shall constitute deemed acceptance of revised terms.
13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
- •These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India.
- •All disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts located at the Company's registered office city.
- •Parties agree to attempt amicable resolution prior to initiating legal proceedings.
14. General Provisions
- •The subscription is non-transferable and valid only for the registered pet.
- •Benefits cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to another user or pet.
- •The Company may empanel or remove partner clinics at its sole discretion.
- •Decisions regarding eligibility, claims, and benefits shall be final and binding.
- •If any clause is deemed invalid, remaining provisions shall continue to remain enforceable.
